Gandante presenteert:
Karmelieten, Kunsthal Gent en de Drongenhofkapel

Rondleiding: Kunsthal Gent en de oude Karmelieten in combinatie met het kunstproject in de Drongenhofkapel. Tijdens de Patersholfeesten op zaterdag 14 augustus 2021 om 17u00. Startplaats: Lange Steenstraat 14 te Gent met gids Maggy Van Herreweghe.

In Kunsthal Gent ontmoeten verschillende artistieke spelers en disciplines in de kunsten elkaar. Tijdens een rondleiding in Kunsthal Gent gaat onze gids dieper in op twee zaken. Enerzijds de vruchtbare artistieke bodem die het pand heeft in haar huidige invulling. Maar anderzijds komt ook de geschiedenis van het veertiende-eeuwse Karmelietenklooster aan bod.

Op 14 augustus 2021 gaat ook het Zomersalon door in Kunsthal Gent. De tweede editie van het Zomersalon brengt in juli en augustus 2021 werken van 742 Gentenaars bijeen. Met dit initiatief roept Kunsthal Gent voor het tweede jaar op rij op om Gentse kunstenaars te steunen door hun werk te kopen. Dat is nodig want de coronacrisis blijft voor financiële moeilijkheden zorgen bij kunstenaars. De opbrengst van de verkoop van de werken gaat opnieuw integraal naar de kunstenaars.

Maar dit is niet alles. In het tweede uurtje van de rondleiding verplaatsen we ons naar de Drongenhofkapel in het Patershol. Ontdek drie hedendaagse kunstwerken van Berlinde De Bruyckere, Dirk Braeckman en Wim Delvoye en de geschiedenis van de prachtige kapel in het Drongenhof met onze gids
