Navid Nuur (Teheran 1976, woont/werkt in Den Haag, NL) maakte speciaal voor Kunsthal Gent een tas die tegelijk een kunstwerk is. Bij de presentatie van de tas vertelt Navid Nuur in Kunsthal Gent over zijn werk en praktijk. De dag na de artist talk opent Nuur’s tentoonstelling Fight Light Fight bij galerie Sofie Van de Velde in Antwerpen.

'Veel van mijn werk neemt pas zijn definitieve vorm aan in relatie tot de ruimte waarin het zal worden gepresenteerd en vaak wacht ik op de juiste site-specifieke ingrediënten. Aan de andere kant geloof ik niet dat je een werk voor de ruimte creëert. Je gelooft in een werk, en dan kan een ruimte voor de juiste aanvullingen zorgen'.
