Navid Nuur - Apart from the secret that it holds
Artist talk and presentation of an unlimited signed edition
(signed tote bag - silkscreen on smoked cotton)

Friday 18 October 2019, 20:00
Kunsthal Gent open from 18:00 - 22:00
Gent Soirees: evening tour along galeries en off-spaces in Ghent

Especially for Kunsthal Gent, Navid Nuur (Tehran 1976, lives and works in The Hague, NL) made a tote-bag that is also a work. With the presentation of this unlimited signed edition, Navid Nuur will talk about his work and practice at Kunsthal Gent. The day after the artist talk, Nuur's exhibition Fight Light Fight will open at gallery Sofie Van de Velde in Antwerp.

‘Much of my work only assumes its final form in relation to the space where it will be presented in and a lot of the time I am waiting for the right site-specific ingredients. On the other hand, I do not believe that you create a work for the space. You believe in a work, and then a space might provide the right additions.’
