Lange Steenstraat 14
A new series of exhibitions opens with work by local and international artists, three times a year during the last weekend of January, May and September.
Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm
During the weekend Kunsthal Gent is a presentation place that seeks to introduce a wide audience to artists and art organisations in the fine arts and neighbouring disciplines. Free admission. Pay what you can. Go to exhibitions or stay informed via our newsletter.
On weekdays Kunsthal is a workplace for artists, arts organisations and professionals. Public activities are regularly held around artistic presentation, development and reflection: from lectures, discussions and try-outs to networking events, screenings and more. Go to events or stay informed via our newsletter.
We occasionally offer guided tours exploring the building and operations of Kunsthal Gent.

Plan your cycling route easily with the City of Ghent’s free cycling map or its online cycling route planner. You can pick up the cycling map free of charge at the Stadswinkel, at all bike repair points of De Fietsambassade Gent and at the Mobility Company. The map shows you the main cycling routes as well as additional routes.
All Ghent taxi companies that offer electrical transportation can be found on www.elektrischetaxis.be. Electrical taxis follow the same rate, curb air pollution and offer the same level of comfort as regular taxis. Help keep our Ghent air clean!
Kunsthal Gent is located in a car-free area. The Lange Steenstraat is not located in the car-free area, but it is adjacent to it. More info about the car-free area, accessibility and permits can be found here.
For parking your car we recommend the following: Coming from the E40 or E17, take the Ghent-Centre exit and follow the P-route to Parking Vrijdagmarkt. In this car park you can park your car for a fee and you are not far from Kunsthal Gent.
Prefer not to drive into the city centre? Then use the free Park&Ride parking zones on the outskirts of the city and come to the museum by public transport. There are Park&Ride zones at Flanders Expo (E40/exit Flanders Expo - tram line 1), in Oostakker (E17/ R4, exit 3 - busses 17 and 18) and in Mariakerke (Brugse Vaart/N9 - bus 3).
In Ghent, coaches can let passengers board and disembark at Gent-Dampoort station and at the Bijlokesite (Godshuizenlaan). From there, the city centre can easily be reached on foot.
Coaches can stop for 30 minutes (free of charge) on the Godshuizenlaan and on the Bijlokekaai. The Dampoort car park offers longer parking periods. Coaches can park for free on the Yachtdreef, where there is no limited parking time. All information about coaches and accessibility for tourists can be found in the Coach Plan.
