The Continuum Broadcast is coming to your home
KUNSTHAL GENT has the pleasure to present The Continuum Broadcast: a public tour by art collective Apparatus 22 to private homes in Gent. It is the second in a series of collaborative works that Apparatus 22 initiated to reflect on the ambivalent power of radio to inform and entertain as well as to manipulate or empower.
The Continuum Broadcast is a joint work of Apparatus 22, Simon Asencio and Irina Bujor and explores the fluidity of going beyond the gender binary and subjectivities at the fringes of sexuality. It will include four different radio shows written and produced by the artists (programme below.)

PROGRAMME The Continuum Broadcast:
> The Broken Grid: A Q&A with Crystal, former club kid extraordinaire, about coming of age, shifting identities, the testing ground of definitions, scrutiny and animism (by Apparatus 22)
> Erotic-Mnemotechnic Poem: a late-night show with a poetic undertones floating between smoothing ASMR and queer dreams (by Simon Asencio)
> SPLENDOR. ONE DESIRE AT A TIME: blending idealism, painful honesty and belief in the magic of numbers, the show by Irina Bujor is entering realities of transgender communities. Exploring the subversive potential of opera, the work is performed by opera singer Nadia Hidali.
> About the curious digressions of Atletica Ideal. A report:a voice message ballad describing the impossible longing of an interspecies love: Atletica Ideal, an AI hybrid form suspended somewhere in a distant future in Suprainfinit — the utopian universe created by Apparatus 22- stumbles upon a long-lost song and falls in love with Róisín Murphy and Maurice Fulton, the two musicians who wrote it.
