Find out how Disarming Design from Palestine (DDfP) has been able to develop over the last few months: how do they organise themselves, how do they collaborate with organisations in a different political and cultural reality, and how do they sustain it? Get unique insights into their ecosystem of learning, making and sharing, and think for yourself, too.

After all, as allies, you support our dynamic community and give meaning to solidarity for art in Ghent (and beyond). During this meeting, we will draw that question more broadly. Join the conversation and reflect together on: How do you shape solidarity through art and design?

Practical

With: Sulaiman Saleh, Annelys Devet, Palestinian coffee and baklava
Afterwards (13:00), you can attend DDfP’s workshop ‘UNPACKING NOTIONS AND BUILDING THREADS’ at the Oud Huis (Kunsthal Gent), as part of the public programme of the exhibition ‘Grains of Sands like Mountains’ by students of the Curatorial Studies programme (KASK & Conservatorium).

* ‘Majelis’ is Arabic for “living room” and is used to describe different types of special gatherings of groups with common interests.
