Support artists in Ghent
Through the Artist Fund, we initiate projects, sub-funds, and concrete actions that help specific groups of artists move forward. Additionally, we ensure that every appeal for support is effective and impactful.
This year, we will be focusing on the ‘Louise Delanghe for Young Artists’ sub-fund.
Louise Delanghe (1994 – 2025) was a young, passionate and talented artist from Ghent. As a tribute to her daughter and as a sign of confidence in young, daring artists, her mother, Patty Delanghe, is launching the Louise Delanghe Fund in collaboration with Kunsthal Gent.
This fund offers vital support to emerging, exploratory and hard-working artists with a link to Ghent during the early stages of their professional development. It is not a reward for established figures, but a genuine sign of trust. Micro-grants, residencies, mentoring or exhibition opportunities? Artists themselves help decide what is most meaningful to them, during the ‘Temporary Centre for Shared Practice’, fall 2026.
The Artists’ Fund (“Friends of Kunsthal Gent Fund”) is administered by the King Baudouin Foundation. Its purpose is to support our organization’s projects. Donations from donors who are tax residents of Belgium, starting at €40 per year, are eligible for a tax deduction on the amount actually paid (Art. 145/33 WIB).
