Hala E. T. Alnaji
Hala Alnaji is a multidisciplinary architect, curator, and researcher whose work explores displacement, memory, and spatial justice through participatory mapping, collective archives, and socially engaged art. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Westminster, examining counter-mapping practices in Gaza. Hala holds a master’s in architecture and has conducted advanced research in Decolonizing Architecture at the Royal Institute of Arts, Stockholm, alongside curatorial studies at Konstfack University.
She is the co-founder of Fasila Collective and the founder of the Butterfly Trace Collective, platforms that work with displaced/diasporic communities from Gaza and Egypt. Her work spans collaborations with UNESCO, academic institutions, and cultural organisations across Europe and the Middle East. She is the author of Scattereds in the Shadow (2022).
