Alex Deforce
Since his first poetic steps in 2019, on Victor De Roo’s Nachtdichter (Night Poet), Alex Deforce (°1984) has carved out a unique position in the literary landscape. With Tussenbruggen (2024), he created a multilingual work that not only literally came into being between two bridges in Brussels during pandemic walks, but also figuratively served as a reflection of the multilingual reality of our capital. Deforce frequently collaborates with musicians from the Belgian underground music scene. In 2022, he founded Les Editions Deforce, a small publishing house that releases collaborations with artists including Azertyklavierwerke (Vieze Meisje), Victor De Roo, and Paulo Rietjens (Stikstof, Zwangere Guy). Furthermore, he is currently performing live with burger service.
